A Gummy smile refers to a disproportionate amount of gum being visible when you smile. It affects over 25% of the population. Typically, anything more than 2mm of exposed gum is classed as ‘gummy’. A quick and easy procedure of using Botulinum toxin is used to temporarily paralyse the elevator muscles so that they do not raise your upper lip whenever you smile.
Smoker’s lines, sometimes referred to as lipstick lines, are wrinkles that occur between the upper lip and nose and are a common aging concern. These fine vertical lines around the mouth are a sign of aging, even among non-smokers, so don’t let the name fool you. They can significantly age the face, even if no other signs of aging are present and ruin the look of a smooth, youthful complexion.
Botulinum toxin is a great treatment option for subtle smoker’s lines or as a preventative treatment for those just starting to form the fine lines and wanting to keep them from further developing.
Hyperhidrosis is the term used to describe excessive sweating which can negatively affect a person’s self-confidence and self-esteem. It is often described as being embarrassing, it can also stain clothes, ruins romance and can complicate business and social interactions. Botulinum toxin is used to treat the underarm area by making tiny injection points. It is very effective and starts to work within 2-3 days.
The ‘Lip flip’ refers to using Botox along the border of the lips to create fuller, plumper but natural appearing lips. It is an alternative to having lip fillers which has the effect of creating more volume in the lips. The effects of this treatment become visible within 1 week.
As the needles used in the anti-wrinkle treatment are very fine, numbing cream is not required. There is very minimal pain.
Prevention is better than cure! It is advisable to start anti-wrinkle treatments in your mid 20’s when fine lines and wrinkles have not become static. This reduces the risk of the wrinkles becoming deeper as the muscle will be relaxed.
All clients are asked to attend a review meeting 2 weeks after your first anti-wrinkle treatment which does not acquire an additional charge. Some clients may require a few more units to achieve the desired effect.
